Initially formed in the 2000, National Internship program has given grants for more than one hundred Indonesian art practitioners. This program aims to improve the quality of human resources in the arts through internships experience at the prominent art and culture organizations.

The Institut Français Indonesia (IFI) Jakarta, Goethe Institut, JiFFest, Kineforum, the Antara Museum and Photo Gallery, Teater Koma, The Japan Foundation, Teater Satu, Saung Angklung Udjo, Selasar Sunaryo Art Space, Lembaga Indonesia Prancis/Institut Français Indonesia Yogyakarta, the Didik Nini Thowok Dance Studio, Teater Garasi, and the Bagong Kussudiardja Foundation has become Kelola’s hosts organizations.

Through the internship, Kelola’s grantees learn how to manage and organize art and cultural groups or studios, developing programs, and managing the production of performances, as well as films.

The goal of this internship program is to ensure that grantees will share experience and knowledge to their local community and create lasting relationships with other artists during their internships.
